Welcome! My name is Wan‐Ni Tsai, and I am a senior majoring in mechanical engineering at MIT. I have found a passion for product design and building prototypes. I enjoy the time I spend in machine shops, using different tools to finish up a prototype. I am interested in manufacturing design and engineering design.
As an Engineering Intern at Procter & Gamble, I resolved technical problems on the production line using engineering problem solving methods for the startup of Tampax Essential with a team of engineers and operators. I also designed different options and determined best paths forward to update vending units with the Cincinna, Femcare R&D group. I was a Mechanical Engineering Intern at 5 Wits Produc, ons, where I collaborated with a team of designers and fabricators to produce physically interactive games, exhibits, and special effects for existing 5 Wits attractions and museum exhibit projects. I researched interactive games and built quick prototypes of new ideas with SolidWorks and the woodshop. I was also part of MIT’s Ideation Lab, which devoted its research to product design and design processes. As a research assistant, I learned a lot about product design. During my free time, I enjoy doing pistol, and I am currently in the MIT Pistol club. Pistol is a good way for me to release my stress and learn how to focus on the moment. I also enjoy photography; I like to walk around in different places and take pictures of everything. I like card games and thinking of different strategies while playing them. I have been playing violin since I was young, and violin plays an important role in my life. I would like to immerse myself in product design in the future. I believe a good design can enhance and change a product, and it can also change the way the world interacts with new technologies and innovations. I would like to gain more hands-‐on experience in product design so that I can improve on my designing skills. Welcome to my website and I hope you will enjoy it. Contact Info: [email protected] |
